Q: I’m new. What do I wear to a BDSM club?

This is going to sound like a smart-assed answer, but I swear it’s not: clothes. LOL

Seriously.

Here at the Tampa Bay Phoenix Club, our dress code is that you need to be street-legal through the door. What does that mean? It means when you come in, your “bits” have to be covered. You can come in dressed however you want. We don’t have a “dress code.” Once you are inside the club, we allow full nudity. (Please sit on a towel, though.)

Full fetish? Sure. Steampunk cosplay? Hellz yeah! Furry suit? Absolutely. Jeans and a blouse? Rock on. Latex or leather up the wazoo? Knock yourself out.

Sometimes we have theme parties where we will give discounts for dressing to the theme (so you really want to pay attention to our FetLife event postings, hint-hint).

But don’t stress out. Obviously, if you want to make a good impression, you might want to leave the beach wear at home. (Unless it’s a beach theme party.) But you can’t go wrong with a nice pair of jeans and a nice button-up shirt (guys) or blouse. Or ladies, feel free to wear a sexy dress, if you want to. Dress for your comfort and your play level. We have people who change into their comfy PJs after they play. 🙂

It seriously is up to you. We don’t judge.
